Tailor-Made Sport and Exercise Psychology. Based in Hertfordshire and Wiltshire
About Me
My name is Scott Gunning and I am a Trainee Sport and Exercise Psychologist.
As a competitive athlete for the past 15 years, I know first hand how important having the right mindset is if you want to perform at your best. Therefore, I set up Gunning Mental Performance to provide Sport and Exercise Psychology support to individuals and teams, regardless of age or ability. I seek to work from a 'client-centred approach' putting you, as the athlete, at the centre of the work and tailoring my services to your needs.
My aim is to work alongside you and help you to discover your strengths as an athlete, explore your thoughts and guide you to understand how you can utilise these to reach your true potential, both in sport and in life.
Outside of running Gunning Mental Performance, I am currently an athlete myself, competing predominantly in the 200m and 400m. I am also a fan of Chelsea FC, Formula 1, Star Wars and Marvel.
I currently work at the University of Hertfordshire as a Teaching Fellow in Sport Coaching and Sport Psychology.
