ABOUT ME

My name is Scott Gunning and I am a Trainee Sport and Exercise Psychologist. Having been involved in sport since a young age I came to realise that the mental side of training and competing is often overlooked despite it being so vital to performance. Therefore, after completing both a BSc and MSc in Sports Psychology, I set up Gunning Mental Performance as a way of helping to provide accessible sports psychology to a range of athletes, regardless of ability. I seek to work from a 'client-centred approach' putting you, as the athlete, at the centre of the work and tailoring my services to your needs.

Outside of running Gunning Mental Performance, I am currently an athlete myself, competing predominantly in the 200m and 400m. I am also a fan of Chelsea FC, Formula 1, Star Wars and Marvel.

I am also a Visiting Lecturer in Sport Psychology and Skill Acquisition at the University of Winchester.
